Deaf Delhi Bulls dominate claim ₹1,00,000 as runners-up earn ₹50,000 in star-studded ceremony
Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Deaf Delhi Bulls emerged victorious in the thrilling final of the 2nd T10 Women’s Deaf Premier League defeating the Deaf Hyderabad Eagles by 9 wickets. The Bulls chased down the target of 72 runs with precision reaching 73/1 in just 7.5 overs to claim the title. The Hyderabad Eagles who had remained unbeaten throughout the league stages batted first and posted a total of 71/7. However the Deaf Delhi Bulls, eager to avenge their only defeat in the league stages to the same team, displayed excellent performance to secure the win. The closing ceremony, held at the Police Gymkhana Cricket Ground saw the Deaf Delhi Bulls awarded the trophy along with a cash prize of ₹1,00,000. The runners-up Deaf Hyderabad Eagles received ₹50,000 in recognition of their efforts. Several individual performances were also acknowledged during the ceremony. Over the course of three days the tournament brought together five specially-abled women’s teams: Deaf Delhi Bulls Deaf Hyderabad Eagles Deaf U.P Warriors Deaf Mumbai Stars and Deaf Bangalore Badshahs.
The event which included 11 matches showcased exceptional talent and determination from all the teams. More than just a sporting competition the tournament was a celebration of inclusivity and empowerment. It was supported by key partners, including Nykaa, Indo Count Industries, Serum Institute of India, and the Villoo Poonawalla Foundation all of whom contributed to the success of the event.
