New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a prize money of Rs 58 crore for the Indian team following their victory in the Champions Trophy 2025. Rohit Sharma’s team secured the title on March 9 after defeating Mitchell Santner’s New Zealand in the final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Roger Binny, the Honourable President of the BCCI, expressed his pride in the team’s achievement, stating, “Winning back-to-back ICC titles is special and this reward recognises Team India’s dedication and excellence on the global stage.” He further highlighted that the cash award acknowledges the hard work behind the scenes and noted that the Champions Trophy win followed India’s triumph in the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup earlier in 2025, showcasing the strength of the country’s cricketing ecosystem.
