Bathinda (Punjab) (The Uttam Hindu): Following the orders of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Vigilance department is actively addressing all pending complaints. In a significant move against corruption in Bathinda, Vigilance has filed a case against Gurpreet Singh, an XEN posted in the Bathinda Municipal Corporation, for amassing disproportionate assets. Vigilance DSP Kulwant Singh confirmed that a raid was conducted at the accused’s residence in an attempt to arrest him; however, the XEN has gone into hiding.

This action stems from a long-pending complaint against XEN Gurpreet Singh, who was posted in the corporation during the Congress government. The complaint alleged that he accumulated assets far beyond his known income. The Vigilance department proceeded with registering the case after consulting legal experts.
