Two Top Babbar Khalsa International Operatives Captured in Punjab

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): In a major blow to the cross-border terror network, the State Special Operation Cell (SSOC), Mohali in Punjab has arrested two key operatives of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), who are directly linked to Pak-based BKI terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda and US-based Happy Pasian.
The arrested accused have been identified as Jagdish Singh alias Jagga resident of Janglat Vibhag, Harike Pattan, Thana Harike Tarn Taran and Shubhdeep Singh Aulakh alias Shubh resident of village Joneke, Thana Chohla Sahib, Tarn Taran Jhujhar Singh Avenue, Chowki Gumtala. Police have recovered two .32 bore pistols and five rounds from them. Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav said that as per their initial disclosure, the accused, following the instructions of Rinda, killed one and seriously injured another in Nanded, Maharashtra on February 10, 2025. They were also instructed to carry out targeted killings in Punjab as part of a larger coordinated terror operation.
The DGP said further investigation was underway to unravel the entire network. He said Punjab Police was firm on its commitment to eradicate organised crime and ensure peace and harmony across the state.
