SSP Saumya Mishra Engages Students and Villagers in New Police-Community Partnership Program

Ferozepur (The Uttam Hindu): SSP Ferozepur, Smt. Saumya Mishra, IPS, inaugurated the 'Sampark Police Public Partnership Program' at Senior Secondary School in Nurpur Sethan. The initiative aimed to strengthen communication, build trust, and encourage joint efforts between the police and the community to improve public safety.
The program, spearheaded by young police officers with the support of Saanjh teams, focuses on engaging students from classes 9-12, college-goers, local committees, and business organizations. During the event, high school students from classes 11 and 12 voiced their concerns on critical issues such as drug abuse, traffic safety, and street crimes, with the objective of inspiring active youth participation in building a secure and progressive society.
Villagers and members of the Village Defense Committees (VDCs) also engaged in an open discussion about local safety and law enforcement challenges. SSP Mishra assured attendees that matters solvable at the local level would be addressed promptly. She assigned these issues to the respective DSPs and SHOs, with a pledge to provide updates within five days.
