Chandigrarh (The Uttam Hindu): Navjot Kaur Sidhu, the wife of former cricketer and politician Navjot Singh Sidhu, has filed a complaint accusing her former personal assistant, Angad Pal, of defrauding her of Rs 2 crore. Pal, who currently resides in the United States, and his maternal uncles, Mangal Singh and Sukhwinder Singh, are alleged to have been involved in the fraudulent registration of a property in the posh Ranjit Avenue area of Amritsar.

According to Navjot Kaur Sidhu, Pal had repeatedly assured her that the registration of an office property would be completed soon. She claims that a sum of Rs 1.5 crore was transferred to Angad Pal's account as part of the transaction. However, the registration process never materialized, leading her to suspect foul play.

The accused individuals, including Pal and his uncles, are now facing allegations of cheating and fraud. Navjot Kaur Sidhu has brought the matter to the police, who have initiated an investigation into the case. While police officials have not provided detailed comments on the matter, they confirmed that they are looking into the allegations. At this stage, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing.

This case highlights the growing concern of financial frauds involving trusted associates, as even high-profile individuals are not immune to such scams. The investigation is expected to provide more clarity on the extent of the fraud and the involvement of the accused parties.
