New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A tragic incident occurred in Batala, Punjab, where an elderly couple was attacked by bike-borne assailants while returning from serving langar at a village fair. The husband, Sohan Singh, succumbed to bullet injuries, while his wife, Parminder Kaur, suffered critical stomach injuries.

The incident happened late Saturday night, sparking panic in the area. Police have initiated an investigation, and a case has been registered. Authorities suspect rivalry or a land dispute as possible motives, but the exact reason remains unclear.
