Residents in Jalandhar protest over church bouncers' brutal attack on 10th-Grade student
Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): In Jalandhar, locals have staged a protest on the road leading to the church in Khabanda, alleging that the church's bouncers brutally assaulted a minor. According to reports, the attack occurred around 3 PM, when the minor was struck with sharp weapons and later admitted to the hospital for treatment. The child, who is a 10th-grade student, was severely injured in the incident.
Manpreet Kaur, a woman related to the victim, informed that her nephew was assaulted by the church bouncers. She explained that the road to Khabanda is completely blocked, causing significant inconvenience to people. Her nephew had only asked for a way to pass through the blocked road, which led to threats and eventually an attack on him. Additionally, the bouncers allegedly accused a 45-year-old woman of harassment and stripped the minor before assaulting him. The woman's nephew's condition remains critical, and she demanded that such hooliganism by the bouncers must cease.
In response to the incident, a protest was held today, blocking the road leading to the church. Local authorities arrived at the scene promptly and assured that an investigation is underway. They stated that arrests will be made after the identification of the attackers and their statements are recorded.
