Punjab Under Cyclone Alert: Rain and Fog Expected in These Key Cities!
Chandigarh(The Uttam Hindu):Despite no significant changes in Punjab's weather this November, the heat is still being felt during the afternoons. However, the coming days may bring noticeable changes. The Meteorological Department has issued a rainfall alert for the state, as the impact of a cyclone is expected to reach Punjab.
Cyclonic Storm's Impact Expected
According to the department, a deep depression over the south-western Bay of Bengal will intensify into the cyclonic storm 'Fengal' in the next 12 hours, moving north-westward. The storm's effects will be felt in Punjab and neighboring states. Additionally, dense fog may also blanket parts of Punjab and Haryana.
Weather Forecast for Punjab Cities
The rain is expected to improve air quality in the state, which is currently more polluted than Chandigarh.
