Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): In a significant move to enhance exam preparedness, the Punjab Education Department has launched online coaching for students preparing for the JEE Main and NEET exams. The initiative, aimed at helping students from government schools excel in these highly competitive exams, is set to begin on November 20. The decision comes as part of a broader plan to provide specialized coaching for these entrance exams within the state's public schools. Online classes for NEET will focus on subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. These classes will be held daily from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm, beginning tomorrow.

For JEE Main, coaching sessions have already been underway since November 11. These classes, also covering Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, are being conducted from 1:15 pm to 3:20 pm during regular school hours. The Education Department has partnered with IIT Kanpur, which has developed Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based software to aid in the coaching process. This technology aims to create a more interactive and personalized learning experience for students preparing for the entrance exams.

The coaching program will last between one and four months, with digital classrooms equipped with the necessary resources to provide high-quality teaching. District Education Officers have been instructed to ensure proper implementation and review the progress of this initiative to ensure its success. This initiative marks a major step forward in providing students from Punjab's government schools with the resources they need to succeed in national-level exams, bridging the gap in access to quality education and coaching.
