Punjab on High Alert: NIA Issues Threat to Punjabi Artists, Security Increased for AP Dhillon

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has issued an alert regarding a possible attack on a show by popular Punjabi singer and rapper, AP Dhillon. Based on the agency's inputs, the Punjab Police has raised concerns about possible threats to Punjabi artists, prompting increased security measures for the upcoming event.

The alert arrives in the wake of AP Dhillon's slated performance, and the Punjab Police has acted swiftly by coordinating the action with the Chandigarh Police. Even though it was a show on the outskirts, authorities have ensured it remains the same level as Diljit Dosanjh had at his previous show.

To ensure that the event is safe, four Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) and six inspectors have been deputed to monitor the situation, and security personnel have been deployed there to ensure that no suspicious character reaches the venue. Further, after the NIA's alert, security arrangements around the Homeland Society in Mohali, where a number of Punjabi singers stay, have also been beefed up. Police and security forces are on full alert and working hard to make sure the artists, as well as the participants of the event, go out safe.
