Punjab Congress Leaders Meet High Command in Delhi in Bid to Unite

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab Congress leaders meeting… On the call of the high command, the leaders of Punjab Congress reached Delhi today and an important meeting was held with senior Congress leaders. The meeting is being considered important in terms of factionalism in Punjab Congress and preparation for the assembly elections 2027.

All the senior leadership was present in the meeting of Punjab Congress leaders held in Delhi under the leadership of the party's new in-charge and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for Mission-27. All the senior leaders including Punjab Pradesh Congress President Amarinder Raja Warring, Leader of Opposition Pratap Singh Bajwa, former Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi were present in the meeting, but Navjot Singh Sidhu was absent despite being a member of this committee.

However, Sidhu has been keeping distance from party functions for a long time. Punjab state is very important for Congress. Because the party has a strong base here. It is believed that Rahul Gandhi can take strict action against the leaders doing double politics in Punjab Congress. Looking at the party's upcoming strategy, there is a possibility of major changes in the organizational structure. However, Amarinder Raja Vading has described this meeting as a routine meeting.
