Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): Member Parliament Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal assured farmers of Punjab Government's dedication to purchasing every grain brought to the mandis, underscoring that no crop would be left unprocured. During his visit to the Gidderpindi and Rupewali Grain Market, he engaged with farmers, listened to their concerns regarding procurement operations, and reaffirmed the government's commitment to a hassle-free process.


Sant Seechewal highlighted that extensive measures have been implemented to ensure efficient lifting of paddy, with senior officials actively monitoring mandis across the district to streamline operations. He directed officials to expedite the lifting process, aiming to prevent delays that could inconvenience farmers.


In addition to listening to the farmers, MP Seechewal reviewed the progress made in the district’s procurement efforts so far, underscoring the government’s resolve to uphold the interests of Punjab’s agricultural community.


MP and renowned environmentalist Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal urged the farmers to stay away from stubble burning practices as it can increase pollution level besides destroying nutrition in the fertile soil.
