Mandeep also had a background in handball before fully committing to hockey.

Udita Kaur Duhan, born on January 14, 1998, in Nangal village, Hisar, has made India proud with her exceptional performances as a defender in the Indian women's hockey team. Before transitioning to hockey, Udita played handball. She began her senior-level career in 2017 and went on to win a silver medal at the 2018 Asian Games, a bronze at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, and a gold at the 2023 Asian Champions Trophy.
