Jalandhar Police Capture Key Member of Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Connected to Baba Siddiqui Murder
Nakodar (The Uttam Hindu): Jalandhar Police has arrested an accomplice of Zeeshan Akhtar of Lawrence Bishnoi gang, who is absconding in Baba Siddiqui murder case in Maharashtra. Both had demanded a ransom of Rs 30 lakh in 2021. After which the search for the accused was on. Police has arrested the accused from Nakodar.
Jalandhar SSP Harkamalpreet Singh Khakh has given information about this. Khakh said that Nakodar police has arrested the accused after investigation. Police was keeping an eye on the accused for a long time. SSP said that in September 2021, the accused made a WhatsApp call to Rano wife Darshan Lal and demanded Rs 30 lakh, claiming to be associated with Lawrence Bishnoi group. If the money is not given, the accused threatened to kill her son Sher Kumar.
It is being told that five other members of the group have already been arrested in this case. But the arrest of the main accused Vishal Sabharwal alias Bharthu resident of Mohalla Rishi Nagar, Nakodar is still pending. The SSP said that earlier the arrested accused have been identified as Ankush alias Bhaiya, Mohammad Yasin Akhtar alias JC, Gagandeep Singh alias Babbu, Rohit and Karnail Singh alias Bobby. The case was supervised by SP (E) Jasroop Kaur Bath.
He said that the accused has committed many crimes earlier and he will be produced in court to take police remand for further investigation. Vishal has many cases registered against him including attempt to murder, Arms Act, extortion etc.
