Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): In a significant development, Rajwinder Kaur assumed office as the newly appointed AAP chairman of the Jalandhar Improvement Trust today. The occasion was marked by the presence of several prominent leaders, including Punjab Aam Aadmi Party chief and minister Aman Arora, cabinet minister Ravjot Singh, former minister and MLA Balkar Singh, and Deepak Bali. Rajwinder Kaur was congratulated by the leaders and fed laddus to mark the occasion. Expressing her gratitude, Kaur thanked Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal, and others for their support. She emphasized that the Aam Aadmi Party has empowered women by giving them respect and opportunities.

Kaur, who joined the party to bring change in Punjab, acknowledged the party's efforts in transforming the state. She vowed to work honestly and complete pending tasks, ensuring that the party's good work is recognized by the people in the 2027 elections. However, the ceremony was marred by a ruckus outside the Improvement Trust office, where some individuals caught a person and created a commotion, alleging that they had caught a thief. The situation is being investigated. Rajwinder Kaur's appointment is seen as a significant step towards empowering women in Punjab, and her commitment to working honestly and completing pending tasks is expected to bring positive changes to the Jalandhar Improvement Trust.
