ISI Conspiracy to Disturb Hindu-Sikh Harmony in Punjab: Majithia
Amritsar/Majitha(The Uttam Hindu): Senior Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia has alleged that Pakistan's intelligence agency, ISI, is conspiring to disrupt Hindu-Sikh harmony in Punjab. He accused the agency of targeting prominent leaders of minority communities, including Hindus, through gangsters and terrorists, while Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann remains unaware of this grave threat.
Speaking at a press conference in Majitha, Majithia revealed that the grenade attack on Advocate Jaintipur's residence was the 11th such incident in the border region. He criticized the AAP government for downplaying such attacks as trivial incidents, such as "tyre bursts" or "radiator explosions."
Majithia pointed out that Punjab’s DGP had visited the attack sites, contradicting the government's narrative. He highlighted that Amandeep Kumar's family had lodged more than 10 FIRs against notorious gangsters like Jaggu Bhagwanpuria and Happy Chattha. Despite court orders for security, the family remains unprotected. Majithia warned that CM Bhagwant Mann would be held accountable if harm befell the Jaintipur family, which has significantly contributed to fostering Hindu-Sikh harmony in the Majha region.
He also criticized the Punjab government for prioritizing Arvind Kejriwal’s security, claiming that the State Police had alerted Delhi Police about threats to the AAP supremo while ignoring the safety of Punjabi citizens. The SAD leader stated that his party would not allow communal harmony in Punjab to be disturbed at any cost. He urged CM Mann to stop his tours to Australia, New Zealand and Delhi, and instead focus on the welfare of Punjab and its people.
