Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): A major incident has come to light in Kot Baba Deep Singh Nagar Jalandhar, where three bike-borne miscreants attacked the XUV vehicle of a car market owner. The miscreants vandalized the vehicle, prompting the vehicle owner Jaswinder Singh to open fire with his licensed pistol. The accused then fled the scene. According to Police Station No. 8 In-charge Gurmukh Singh, the incident occurred on the evening of January 31. The three suspects on a bike attempted to stop the XUV vehicle as it approached the driver’s residence. The suspects began damaging the vehicle and while Jaswinder resisted they broke into the vehicle before fleeing. Jaswinder chased after them and fired shots which drew the attention of nearby residents.

Despite the severity of the situation Jaswinder has yet to file an official complaint. Police have been urging him to visit the station to provide a statement but as of now no formal complaint has been lodged. Authorities have stated that appropriate action will be taken once Jaswinder’s statement is recorded. The incident has raised concerns about rising violence and vehicle-related crimes in the area.
