CM Bhagwant Singh Mann’s Government Installs 180 CCTV Cameras in Sub-Registrar Offices for Transparency
Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): The Punjab government has decided to install CCTV cameras in the Sub-Registrar/Joint Sub-Registrar offices to ensure transparency and convenience for the public. A total of 180 CCTV cameras have been installed in these offices across Punjab.
Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to make each camera operational. The Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue, Anurag Verma has directed a report on the operational status of these cameras to be submitted by January 31.
Senior officers at the headquarters will also personally monitor the CCTV cameras. Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to conduct random checks through live footage from the CCTV cameras. Deputy Commissioners can check the land offices through the cameras whenever they wish.
