Cleaning of Budha Nala will be the BJP's priority – Khanna / Bittu
Ludhiana(The Uttam Hindu): A press conference was organized by District President Rajneesh Dhiman in the BJP District Office Dugri regarding the Municipal Corporation elections. In which BJP's former Punjab President Avinash Rai Khanna, Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu, former MLA Harjot Kamal released the BJP election manifesto during the press conference. Releasing the election manifesto, Avinash Rai Khanna said that the promises made by the Aam Aadmi Party to the people of Ludhiana have not been fulfilled till date. Aam Aadmi Party did not do any development work in Ludhiana city during its 3-year tenure.
Ludhiana residents are facing many problems like shattred roads, heaps of garbage at various places, clogged sewerage system in the inner parts of the city, non-functioning street lights, shortage of drinking water, waterlogging in the city during rainy season etc. for the last three years. Apart from this, due to the AAP representatives not getting the Budha Dariya cleaned on time, the dirty water entering the houses of the people when the Budha Dariya overflows during the rainy season is also a question mark on the performance of Aam Aadmi Party. Aam Aadmi Party has only fooled the people of Ludhiana by making flimsy promises in the last three years. Khanna said that when the BJP government comes to power in the Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana city will be made a smart city by making good use of Rs 889 crore released by the Modi government at the Centre under the Smart City Project.
Under this, Ludhiana residents will be provided with 24-hour clean canal water along with street lights, parking in the inner parts of the city so that people do not have to face the problem of traffic jam. He said that the cleaning of Budha Nallah passing through the middle of the city will be done on priority basis so that the residents of the colonies situated around Budha Nallah do not have to face any problem. Under this, garbage management will also be taken care of.
In order to give complete information about the government facilities of the Municipal Corporation to the common people, Suvidha centers will be established in all the zones. He said that the people of Ludhiana believe that where there is Modi, there is development. Rajneesh Dhiman said that if the performance of Aam Aadmi Party was good, then elections would not have been held today on the instructions of the High Court. Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Singh Bittu said that in the name of development, AAP representatives are asking for votes from the people of Ludhiana.
But they should tell where the development has taken place. On this occasion, BJP State General Secretary Anil Sareen, State Vice President Jatinder Mittal, State Secretary, former MLA Dr. Harjot Kamal, Renu Thapar, Treasurer Gurdev Sharma Devi, Core Group member Jeevan Gupta, former District President Pushpendra Singal, Dr. Subhash Verma, District General Secretary Sardar Narendra Singh Malli, Dr. Kanika Jindal, Yashpal Janotra, District Vice President Dr. Nirmal Nayyar, Secretary Sumit Tandon, Press Secretary Dr.Satish Kumar, Office Secretary Parveen Sharma, Spokesperson Surendra Kaushal, District Convener of BJP Legal Cell Advocate K.G Sharma, Harpreet Singh Monu, Rajiv Kalra etc were present.
