Chaos Erupts at Ludhiana Municipal Corporation's First House Meeting as Opposition Encircles Mayor's Office

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The first budget meeting of the Municipal Corporation was held on Thursday. There was a lot of uproar in the meeting. During this, Congress and BJP councilors raised the issue of advertisement, after which there was an uproar. During this, Congress councilors and BJP councilors started opposing the mayor. After this, the gate was closed. Amidst the uproar, the mayor approved a budget of about Rs 1100 crore and ended the meeting.

During this time, the councillors of Congress and BJP kept creating ruckus, but the meeting became chaotic due to the questions of the opposition. The opposition councillors gheraoed the mayor's office after not getting an answer to the Rs 40 crore proposed for the light branch in the budget. This protest went on for about three quarters of an hour.
