Batala Police Demolish House of Drug Smuggler

Batala (The Uttam Hindu): Punjab's Batala police on Thursday demolished the house of drug smuggler Jeevan Kumar, resident of Gandhi Nagar Camp, Batala, with the help of JCB machines.
Senior Superintendent of Police Suhail Qasim Mir said that three cases under the NDPS Act have been registered against Jeevan Kumar in various police stations. He said that it is clear from the sections and case history registered against him that he was involved in the drug smuggling business for a long time.
Mir said that clear instructions have been given by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav that strict action will be taken against anyone involved in the business of drug smuggling. He said that it is very important for us to save our young generation, because these smugglers are pushing our children and youth into the quagmire of drugs through their disgusting activities.
