Amritsar Rural Police Busts Major Cross-Border Arms & Hawala Network

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In a major crackdown on illegal arms and hawala operations, Amritsar Rural Police have arrested four individuals—Jagroop Singh @ Baba, Hardeep Singh, Rajbir Singh @Gullu and Arsal Singh @Rasal Singh—who were allegedly working with Pakistani smugglers. These individuals played key roles in facilitating unlawful financial transactions and smuggling firearms across borders.

The police seized four Glock 9mm pistols, five magazines, and ₹3,05,010 in hawala money during the operation. An FIR has been lodged at PS Gharinda, Amritsar, and efforts are underway to identify and track the further connections of this international smuggling network.
