New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh has not got relief from Punjab and Haryana High Court. The court has not allowed Amritpal Singh to participate in the Parliament session. However, Amritpal's Parliament membership will not be cancelled. During the hearing, the central government told that Amritpal Singh's leave has been recommended, so now his Lok Sabha membership will not be lost. After this information, the High Court has disposed of Amritpal Singh's petition.

The Centre told the Punjab and Haryana High Court that 54 days leave has been approved for Khadoor Sahib MP Amritpal Singh. This information was placed before a division bench of Chief Justice Sheel Nagu and Justice Sumit Goel at a time when the Lok Sabha Speaker recently constituted a 15-member committee to examine the leave applications of MPs including Amritpal Singh. Today, when the matter came up for hearing again, Additional Solicitor General of India Satya Pal Jain, along with advocate Dheeraj Jain, presented before the bench a letter issued by the Lok Sabha Secretariat on March 11.
