AAP criticises Manpreet Badal for false promises and violating the model code of conduct
Gidderbaha (The Uttam Hindu): In a pointed criticism of BJP candidate Manpreet Badal, AAP candidate for Gidderbaha, Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon, called out his false promises regarding government jobs for the youth. Dimpy Dhillon accused Badal of blatantly violating the Model Code of Conduct by making such misleading claims during his election campaign.
Speaking about the issue, Dimpy Dhillon said, “Manpreet Badal has a long history of misleading the people of Gidderbaha. He has represented this constituency for 16 years, served as Finance Minister, and yet has failed to provide jobs to the youth. Now, during elections, he is once again making hollow promises about giving jobs to the youth. If you couldn't deliver during your time in power, why should anyone believe you now? Your promises are just an attempt to mislead the people once again.”
Dimpy Dhillon further pointed out that Badal's claims about securing government jobs for the youth were not only unrealistic but also a direct violation of the Model Code of Conduct. He urged the Election Commission to take immediate action against Badal for making such baseless promises, especially during an election period.
Dimpy Dhillon said that the people of Gidderbaha deserve better. “It’s time for accountability and transparency. The people of Punjab are tired of false promises. We, at AAP, are committed to creating real opportunities for the youth and addressing the pressing issues of the region. The Mann government gave 45,000 government jobs to youth so far.”
*AAP Leader Neel Garg Also Calls Out Manpreet Badal’s Lies*
AAP leader Neel Garg also strongly criticized Manpreet Badal's deceptive statements. “I was shocked to see a leader who has been rejected by the people making such unfounded claims. For the past 21 years, Manpreet Badal has failed to deliver on his promises of jobs. I challenge him to release a list of the youth he claims to have employed during his tenure. The people of Gidderbaha know the truth, and they will not be fooled by his empty words anymore,” said Garg.
He also added, “Manpreet Badal’s latest attempt to mislead the public only proves that he is out of touch with reality. If he could not secure jobs for the youth during his time in power, then there is no reason to believe his new promises. The people of Gidderbaha have already rejected him once, and they will not fall for his lies this time either.”*
Both Dimpy Dhillon and Neel Garg have called on Manpreet Badal to provide concrete evidence of his past job creation efforts and urged the Election Commission to ensure that the Model Code of Conduct is followed strictly during the ongoing election campaign.
