New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The weather in Punjab is changing once again. Light rain was observed in several areas of the state yesterday, and more rain is forecasted for today, coinciding with Mahashivratri. Additionally, the weather is expected to remain unsettled in the coming days. There are chances of rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms tomorrow and the day after, with the possibility of hailstorms in various parts of the state. These weather conditions are likely to persist until March 1.



The India Meteorological Department has forecasted rain with thunderstorms until February 28, with the possibility of hailstorms in several areas. A yellow alert has been issued for many districts during this period. Additionally, rain is also expected in various parts of the state on March 1.




The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Jalandhar, Nawanshahr, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar, Amritsar, Tarn Taran, Ferozepur, and Kapurthala today, as rain with thundershowers is expected in these districts. Additionally, rain is likely to occur in several other districts across the region as well.




On February 27, rain is expected across the entire state of Punjab. A yellow alert has been issued for all districts of Punjab on this day. Additionally, there is a possibility of hailstorms in Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Kapurthala, Amritsar, Rupnagar, SAS Nagar, Tarn Taran, Moga, Ferozepur, Barnala, Sangrur, Mansa, Bathinda, Muktsar, and Fazilka.

On February 28, hailstorms are expected in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Rupnagar, and SAS Nagar. Additionally, rain with thunderstorms has been predicted in Pathankot, Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Gurdaspur, Tarn Taran, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Fatehgarh Sahib, Patiala, and SAS Nagar.



The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for all the mentioned districts. Light rain is also possible in the remaining districts.
