Amritsar: Grocery Shop Owner Shot Dead by Unidentified Young Person

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha, a grocery shop owner in village Mahal, Amritsar was shot dead by unknown youths today. The incident occurred at his shop on Ram Tirath Road. According to family members, Sukhwinder had been receiving ransom threats over the phone for a long time. The callers had threatened to kill him if the ransom was not paid.

Today, two youths arrived at the shop, and one of them entered and shot Sukhwinder before fleeing. The victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead.

The police have launched an investigation and are examining CCTV footage from the area. The family has demanded justice, and the police have assured that necessary action will be taken and the culprits will be arrested soon.
