Want better Ramen? add this one simple ingredient to boost the flavor

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Ramen is a popular Japanese dish made from Chinese-style wheat noodles served in a meat or fish-based broth, typically flavored with soy sauce or miso. The noodles made from wheat flour, water, salt and alkaline mineral water come in various shapes and textures depending on the region. The broth is the heart of ramen with styles ranging from shoyu (soy sauce) for a savory and salty flavor, miso for a hearty and slightly sweet taste, shio (salt) for a lighter, clearer broth and tonkotsu for a rich and creamy pork bone broth. Toppings vary but often include sliced braised pork belly (chashu) soft-boiled eggs, dried seaweed (nori), green onions and sometimes bamboo shoots (menma) or fish cake (narutomaki). Ramen has many regional variations, such as tonkotsu ramen from Kyushu, shoyu ramen from Tokyo, miso ramen from Hokkaido, and shio ramen which is lighter and often made with seafood. Known as a comfort food, ramen has grown in popularity worldwide with endless creative interpretations and vegan or vegetarian versions maintaining its status as a beloved dish. Try to avoid overcooking the garlic and do not let it brown otherwise it can become bitter. Add the grated carrot and sliced mushrooms (if using) to the pan. Cook them for roughly one minute until they soften.
