Woman's Death Raises Suspicion of Foul Play: Daughter's Drawing Reveals the Truth

Jhansi(The Uttam Hindu): In Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, a 27-year-old woman, Sonali Budholia, was found dead under suspicious circumstances. Her in-laws initially claimed it was suicide, but a drawing and statement from her daughter, Darshita, suggested otherwise. Darshita accused her father, Sandeep Budholia, of assaulting and killing Sonali, then staging the death to look like a suicide. She claimed her father had previously threatened to kill her mother and had been abusive for years.
Sonali's father, Sanjeev Tripathi, explained that the couple’s marriage in 2019 had been troubled, with constant dowry demands and abuse. After Sonali gave birth to a daughter, Sandeep's frustration grew, as he wanted a son. The situation worsened when Sonali was abandoned in the hospital after childbirth. Sanjeev stated that Sonali was called back from a cousin's wedding by Sandeep, and hours later, he was told she had died by hanging.
The police are investigating, and an autopsy report is awaited. Sonali’s parents suspect foul play and allege she was murdered. The investigation is ongoing.
