Violence on Train to Maha Kumbh as Passengers Break Glass After Station Gate Remains Closed

Passengers standing on the platform were seen angry as all the doors and windows of the train leaving from Ambedkar Nagar were closed after which they pelted stones. After this the GRP staff got the train gates opened. It is being said that due to heavy crowd the passengers already sitting inside had closed the doors of the train. The entire incident happened late night at around 2 O'clock at Chhattarpur railway station. This train runs from Mhow and goes to Ambedkar Nagar via Prayagraj. Due to heavy crowd at the station passengers of the AC coach had locked the gates of their coach from inside. Due to this the angry crowd broke the glass of the doors to get the gates opened.
Seeing the huge uproar GRP tried to convince the passengers sitting inside for a long time. After this somehow the doors of the train were opened. During this time many of the passengers going to Kumbh did not even have tickets. Let us tell you that at this time devotees from all over the country are arriving for bathing in Maha Kumbh. Here the number of people taking a dip in Maha Kumbh has crossed 15 crores.
