Unthinkable Murder in Meerut: Woman and Lover Kill Husband with Snake, Hide the Crime Under His Body

Meerut (The Uttam Hindu): A sensational case has emerged in Meerut that has left everyone stunned. A wife, in collaboration with her boyfriend, strangled her husband while he was sleeping. Afterward, they placed a live snake under his body, which bit him 10 times. Following the incident, the boyfriend was sent away, and the wife went to sleep in another room. The next morning, the family discovered that the man was dead, with a live snake still trapped under his hand. The incident took place in the Akbarpur Sadaat village of the Bahsuma police station area. Amit, a laborer, was married to Ravita eight years ago. They had three small children, and everything seemed fine, but there was something sinister happening inside the house.

Ravita had grown close to a man named Amardeep, who was also Amit’s friend. This relationship eventually turned into a love affair. When Amit found out, he opposed it, leading to frequent arguments. However, Ravita neither ended the relationship nor stopped the fights—she went as far as to have her husband killed.

According to the police, the post-mortem report revealed that Amit’s cause of death was not from snake bites but from asphyxiation. Based on suspicion, the police initially detained Amit’s wife, Ravita, who later named her boyfriend. Initially, both tried to mislead the police, but after intense questioning, they confessed to the crime.
