Hyderabad (The Uttam Hindu): A stir broke out in Hyderabad's Tappachabutra area after pieces of meat were discovered inside a Hanuman temple, sparking anger among local residents. The community claims that unknown individuals threw the meat into the temple, prompting devotees to alert the police. Authorities have launched an investigation into the incident while protests continue outside the temple, with members of the Hindu community gathering in large numbers to demand strict action against the culprits.
BJP leader Raja Singh condemned the incident, stating that temples have once again been targeted. He claimed that pieces of cow meat were thrown onto the Shivling in a Lord Shiva temple as well as in the Hanuman temple. Singh specifically mentioned that the incident took place in Natarajanagar and expressed concerns over the recurring targeting of temples in Telangana. He criticized the police for their claim that stray dogs and cats might have brought the meat to the temple, placing it on the Shivling. Raja Singh urged the Chief Minister and Police Commissioner to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. He also pointed out that CCTV cameras are installed in the Muslim-dominated area around the temple, and the footage should be reviewed to identify those responsible, with stringent action taken. Singh further noted that the temple had been attacked previously but the police had downplayed the incident. He alleged that last night, some individuals scaled the temple wall and threw meat pieces again. The police have assured strict actions against the culprit based on the investigation findings.
