Rampur(The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident has come out from the Milk region of Rampur district in Uttar Pradesh, where a bride went missing from her husband's house just a day after her marriage. According to reports, she had taken ₹60,000 in cash, ornaments, and two mobile phones with her. The family of the groom approached the bride's relatives, and soon she was caught and handed over to the police. The victim family has demanded justice from the police.

This was just two months after the marriage of a differently-abled young man to a woman from Rudrapur. The bride's family had initially demanded an additional ₹60,000 during the wedding, which the groom's family paid. But the next day, the groom's family accused the bride of eloping with valuable possessions from their home. Family members said that the bride had stayed at her husband's place for 2-3 days after the wedding, but on the night of the third day, she secretly took ₹60,000, jewelry, and two mobile phones and vanished.

The bride's family filed a complaint and, after searching, managed to find the bride in her family home, where she was arrested and handed over to the police. The victim's family was also dissatisfied, lamenting how much they had spent for the wedding, hoping for happiness, but instead experienced betrayal.

What does the Police Superintendent say?

The law enforcement has launched an investigation into the incident. Superintendent of Police Vidyasagar Mishra said that a complaint has been lodged and that the inquires are still on. He added that the case is related to a fight which erupted after the marriage and the case is currently active. The bride has not been arrested so far and no arrests have been made while both parties have been questioned. The victim's family has appealed to the police to recover the stolen cash and jewelry.
