According to sources, a group of Khalistani separatists attempted to breach the security cordon surrounding Jaishankar's motorcade as he was on his way to a meeting with his British counterpart. The protesters, who were waving Khalistani flags and shouting slogans, managed to get close to the minister's vehicle before being pushed back by security personnel.

India Condemns UK's Security Failure

The Indian government has condemned the security lapse, saying that it was a "serious breach" of protocol. "We are deeply disappointed that the UK authorities failed to provide adequate security for the External Affairs Minister's visit," said a spokesperson for the Ministry of External Affairs.
