President Droupadi Murmu takes spiritual plunge at Triveni Sangam during Maha Kumbh

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): President Droupadi Murmu took a holy dip in the Triveni Sangam this morning during her visit to the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj. This visit comes over a week after a tragic stampede claimed the lives of around 30 devotees during the Mouni Amavasya festival. The Triveni Sangam the confluence of the sacred Ganga, Yamuna and the mythical Saraswati rivers, holds immense spiritual significance in Hinduism. Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah had also taken a dip at the Sangam as part of the ongoing Maha Kumbh festivities.
During her visit, President Murmu will spend over eight hours in the city offering prayers at the famous Bade Hanuman Temple for the nation's prosperity and well-being. She will also pray at the sacred Akshayavat tree.
This visit by President Droupadi Murmu serves as a reminder of the deep spiritual traditions that continue to thrive in India and her prayers reflect the nation’s hope for peace and prosperity in the years ahead.
