New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to address two rallies and lead a major roadshow in Ranchi, Jharkhand, on Sunday as part of the BJP's campaign for the upcoming state elections. Modi will begin his day with a public rally in Bokaro at 10:30 am, followed by another rally in Gumla at 1:00 pm. At 3:15 pm, he will lead a 3-kilometer roadshow in Ranchi, starting from OTC Ground and ending at New Market Chowk. According to the state BJP, this roadshow is expected to draw a large crowd and is being billed as a historic event. To ensure security and manage crowds, authorities in Ranchi have imposed prohibitory orders from 6 am to 11 pm.

A traffic advisory has been issued, restricting the entry of small and large goods vehicles in the city between 2 pm and 8 pm. Additionally, a 'no-flying zone' has been declared within a 200-meter radius of the route between Birsa Munda Airport and Sahjanand Chowk due to the roadshow. During his visit, Modi will campaign for the Leader of the Opposition in the state assembly, Amar Kumar Bauri, in Bokaro, and will seek votes for BJP candidate Sudarshan Bhagat in Gumla.

On November 5, Modi had addressed rallies in Chaibasa and Garhwa, focusing on the issue of alleged infiltration by Bangladeshi migrants in Jharkhand. Other prominent BJP leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and BJP President JP Nadda, have also held rallies in the state, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been actively campaigning as well. The 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will go to the polls in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with votes set to be counted on November 23.
