New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a major rally for the Delhi Assembly elections at the Karawal Nagar seat, where he launched a sharp attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress. During the rally, as Prime Minister Modi arrived on stage BJP candidate from the Patparganj seat, Ravindra Singh Negi attempted to touch Modi's feet. In response, PM Modi bent down and touched Negi's feet three times, leading to a viral video on social media. The incident sparked curiosity among the public about who Ravindra Singh Negi is as the Prime Minister showed him such respect. This moment also surprised other leaders present at the rally and even Negi appeared uncomfortable.

Ravindra Singh Negi is the same leader who gave a tough fight to Manish Sisodia in the previous election at the Patparganj seat. Although Sisodia had won the seat, this time he contested from the Jangpura seat after changing his constituency. In Jangpura, AAP senior leader Manish Sisodia is facing an intellectual figure, Awadh Ojha who is considered a strong candidate against Negi. During the campaign, PM Modi assured Delhi's residents that they could trust the BJP's commitment and his guarantee. He stated, "I assure you that I will leave no stone unturned in the development here."

Ravindra Singh Negi, originally from Uttarakhand is currently a member of the Delhi Municipal Corporation, representing the Vinod Nagar Ward-198, which falls under the Patparganj Assembly constituency. Negi is a well-known figure in the Patparganj area, having made a name for himself nationally after giving a close fight to Manish Sisodia. He has a strong influence in the RSS and has served in significant roles in expanding the organization in the region. This rally, along with PM Modi's speech is expected to strengthen the BJP's position in the Delhi Assembly elections, while presenting challenges to the opposition parties.
