New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : In a crucial update for farmers benefiting from the PM Kisan Yojana the government has announced that failure to rectify three key issues may result in delayed or withheld payments. The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, launched in 2019 provides eligible farmers with a financial benefit of ₹6,000 per year, paid in three equal installments of ₹2,000.

However, to ensure seamless disbursement of funds, farmers must address the following concerns:

1. Incorrect or Incomplete Aadhaar Details: Farmers must ensure that their Aadhaar cards are linked to their bank accounts and that the details are accurate. Any discrepancies may lead to payment delays.

2. Unregistered or Inactive Mobile Numbers: Beneficiaries must register or update their mobile numbers to receive crucial updates and payment confirmations. Inactive or unregistered numbers may cause farmers to miss essential notifications.

3. Pending e-KYC Verification: Farmers who have not completed their e-KYC (Know Your Customer) verification process may face payment holds. It is essential to complete the verification process to avoid any disruptions.

Farmers Have Limited Time to Act

The government has set a deadline for farmers to resolve these issues. Those who fail to comply within the specified timeframe risk facing payment delays or even losing their benefits. "We urge all PM Kisan beneficiaries to take immediate action to rectify these issues," said a government official. "By doing so, farmers can ensure uninterrupted payment disbursal and continue to benefit from the scheme."

What Farmers Can Do

To avoid any complications, farmers can take the following steps:

- Verify and update their Aadhaar details

- Register or update their mobile numbers

- Complete the e-KYC verification process

By addressing these concerns, farmers can ensure that they continue to receive their PM Kisan benefits without any disruptions.
