Meerut Man Alleges Wife Threatened to Kill Him ‘Like Saurabh Rajput Case’

Meerut (The Uttam Hindu): A domestic dispute in Meerut caused a sensation when a wife attacked her husband with a brick. This incident has revived memories of the recent Saurabh Rajput murder case, in which a wife, along with her lover, killed her husband.

A young man living in a colony near the highway in the Kankerkhera area informed the police that his wife frequently argued with him. On Sunday night, when he returned home drunk, another argument broke out. The man alleged that his wife first bit him and later, in the morning, threatened to hit him with a brick if he didn't wake up. When he protested, his wife allegedly struck him on the head with a brick, leaving him bleeding. There were also scratch marks on his face. The victim told the police that during the altercation, his wife threatened him, saying that if he did not change his ways, she would cut him into pieces and store him in a drum, just like in the Saurabh Rajput murder case in Brahmpuri.

After the incident, the woman arrived at the police station with her two children, while the injured man, covered in blood, went to the police with his father to report the incident. The wife denied the allegations, claiming that her husband spends all his earnings on alcohol, making it difficult to manage household expenses, which often leads to arguments between them. Kankerkhera police station's SSI Ramgopal Singh stated that the injured man had undergone a medical examination, but no formal complaint had been filed yet. The police are investigating the matter.
