Junior Doctor Allegedly Raped by Colleague at Gwalior Medical College: Accused Arrested

Gwalior (The Uttam Hindu): A junior doctor at a government medical college in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh was allegedly raped by her colleague, according to police reports on Monday. The accused has been arrested following a complaint filed by the 25-year-old victim.

The incident occurred on Sunday at an abandoned hostel building within the Gajra Raja Medical College campus. The victim, who resides in the girls' hostel was preparing for her exams when the accused, also a junior doctor at the college invited her to meet at the disused boys' hostel. There, he allegedly threatened and sexually assaulted her.

After the victim reported the crime at the Kampu police station, authorities arrested the accused. A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
