Singapore(The Uttam Hindu): A Singaporean court has charged 73-year-old Indian national Balasubramanian Ramesh with molesting four women aboard a 14-hour Singapore Airlines flight from the United States. The maximum penalty Ramesh could face is 21 years imprisonment, but he is expected to plead guilty on December 13.

The incidents, which are alleged to have occurred, occurred in-flight, between 3:15 am and 5:30 pm on November 18th. As per the court documents, Ramesh consistently victimized the single woman besides assaulting all the others separately. Personal details of the victims regarding their status as passengers or crew have not been mentioned in order to protect them from the identity.

Attacks began to occur almost from the takeoff with Ramesh allegedly molesting his first victim at 3:15 am. He is said to have attacked the second woman within half an hour and three more between 3:30 am to 6:00 am of today. At 9:30 am another woman is said to have faced molestation by him and the last one, allegedly around 5:30 pm.In Singapore, each charge of molestation carries a possible sentence of up to three years in prison as well as a fine. However, because caning is a possible form of punishment, Ramesh's age, over 50, exempts him from this particular consequence.
