Husband Gambles Away Wife in Bet: Victim Files Police Complaint

Chhatarpur (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident has come to light in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, where a husband allegedly gambled away his wife and then brutally beat her for refusing to pay off his debt. According to the victim, Malini Singh Thakur (name changed), her husband Raju Singh Gaur (name changed) is addicted to gambling and has been losing household items in his daily betting. However, this time he took it too far by putting his wife at stake and losing. The victim alleged that her husband demanded money from her, claiming that she now belonged to the person he had gambled her away to. When she refused to pay, he and his family members brutally beat her, causing severe injuries to her private parts.

Victim Seeks Justice: The victim, who was barely able to walk due to her injuries, approached the Superintendent of Police (SP) office and filed a complaint against her husband and his family members. Based on her allegations, the police have registered a case against three people, including the accused husband, under sections of assault and have started further investigation. This incident highlights the darker side of addiction and the devastating consequences it can have on families and relationships.
