New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Hisar Airport is set to launch its first flights, with routes initially to Chandigarh and Ayodhya, followed by flights to other destinations in the future. This announcement was made by Urban Local Bodies Minister Vipul Goyal who also highlighted the broader plans for Hisar and Sirsa to evolve into key industrial hubs in the coming days.

Speaking to journalists in the Vidhan Sabha media gallery, Minister Goyal praised Chief Minister Nayab Saini for presenting a historic budget that addresses the needs of all sectors. He emphasized several key initiatives, particularly in the industrial sector. A significant reform includes the online application system for obtaining various No Objection Certificates (NOCs), which will now be processed automatically, easing the burden on industries.

Regarding infrastructure, Goyal confirmed that the work on Hisar airport has been completed and once Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s schedule permits, the airport, along with the Ambala airport, will be inaugurated. On the query regarding the airport's name, Goyal clarified that it is indeed named after Maharaja Agrasen.

Minister Goyal also shared that the Lado Laxmi Yojana will be launched soon with no set limits on participation, offering further support to the community. In addition to aviation developments, Goyal mentioned the state’s plan to promote tourism through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model for five tourism spots, including the popular Suraj Kund fair which will now be held twice annually due to its increasing popularity.

Lastly he noted that Hisar and the entire state will soon be connected by helicopter services, enhancing connectivity and accessibility across regions.
