"He Harassed Me a Lot": Elderly Father Calmly Sits Beside Son’s Body After Shooting Him Twice

Rajkot(The Uttam Hindu): A 76-year-old man, Ram Boricha, shot dead his 52-year-old son, Pratap, at their home in Jasdan, Rajkot, on Sunday after disputes over his desire to remarry.

Jaya, Pratap’s wife, heard gunshots and found the door locked. After a second shot, Boricha opened the door and chased her with a pistol, but she escaped. Their son, Jaideep, later found Pratap lying in a pool of blood while Boricha sat nearby.

Pratap was declared dead at the hospital. Police seized the firearm and are investigating its license status. Boricha, a retired GSRTC employee, showed no remorse, saying, “He harassed me a lot.”
