Narnaul (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident occurred in Narnaul, Haryana, on Friday, when two female police officers were nearly set on fire during a raid related to an electricity theft case. The incident took place in Dhoop Colony when police officers arrived to assist electricity department officials.

According to reports, the electricity department team, led by SDO Mohammad Azharuddin, had received information about electricity theft and arrived at the residence of one Ratan in Dhoop Colony to investigate. Upon their arrival, the women inside the house reportedly blocked their entry and began protesting. The electricity team then called for police assistance through Dial 112.

A team of female officers, including Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Bimla and Constable Meenakshi, arrived at the scene. The electricity team explained the situation to the officers, stating that they were there to investigate electricity theft, but were stopped by the women from entering the house. ASI Bimla asked the women for an explanation, which allegedly led to a violent confrontation. Eyewitnesses stated that the women dragged the female officers by their hair and pulled them into the street. During this altercation, it is alleged that Ratan's son, Rahul, brought a bottle of petrol from the house and threw it on the police officers. Thankfully, other bystanders intervened in time, saving the officers from serious harm. A video of the incident has surfaced, showing the women physically struggling with the police officers and pulling their hair.

ASI Bimla explained that the women initially allowed the officers to enter but became aggressive when she insisted on allowing the electricity team to proceed with their investigation. She added that the situation escalated when the police attempted to escort the women to the vehicle. The electricity department team has filed an official complaint with the police, and authorities are now investigating the matter. Legal action is being taken against the individuals involved. Thanks to the intervention of bystanders, the situation was defused, and a major tragedy was averted.
