New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to release the 19th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi on February 24, benefiting around 10 crore farmers nationwide. The government will transfer a total of Rs 22,000 crore directly into the bank accounts of eligible farmers. This release follows the 18th installment, which was distributed in October 2024. Under the PM Kisan Yojana, farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually, disbursed in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. Since its launch in 2019, the scheme has provided financial support to millions of farmers across the country.
The 19th installment will be launched from Bhagalpur, Bihar, with Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan confirming the announcement. A total of Rs 22,000 crore will be deposited directly into the accounts of 9.8 crore farmers.
