Good News for Consumers: Milk Prices Drop Across India

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): In a move to provide relief to consumers, Amul has reduced the prices of its milk products by ₹1 across the country. Jayen Mehta, Managing Director of the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), announced that the prices of Amul Gold, Amul Shakti, and Amul Fresh have been slashed. The new prices will take effect from today, January 24.
Mehta explained that the price reduction was aimed at offering relief to consumers while increasing milk availability. He stated, "This decision was made due to a decrease in production costs and better management practices. Our consistent goal has always been to provide high-quality milk at reasonable prices."
Under the new pricing structure, Amul Gold will now cost ₹65, down from ₹66. Amul T-Special has seen a reduction from ₹63 to ₹62, while Amul Fresh, previously priced at ₹54, will now be available for ₹53. This price reduction is expected to bring significant relief to consumers across the country.
