New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : EEPC India’s 54th National Awards for Excellence in Engineering Exports recognized the country's leading industrialists at a prestigious ceremony held at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi. Union Minister of State for Commerce & Industry, Mr. Jitin Prasada, graced the event as the chief guest. A total of 106 National Award winners across 33 product groups and 14 Quality Award holders across four categories were felicitated during the ceremony.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Jitin Prasada emphasized the government's proactive approach in safeguarding exporters' interests. "We are anticipating future challenges—be it market fluctuations, regulatory hurdles, or global disruptions—and formulating strategies to ensure the protection of our exporters and Indian citizens," he stated.

Proud Moment for Jalandhar : Kamana Raj Aggarwal Receives National Award

The event marked a proud moment for Jalandhar, as Ms. Kamana Raj Aggarwal, a distinguished entrepreneur and industrialist, was honored with the National Award for Excellence for her company, GDPA Fasteners. The award was presented by Union Minister Jitin Prasada in recognition of the company's outstanding contributions to engineering exports.

Ms. Aggarwal is a prominent figure in Punjab’s industrial sector, having served as President of CII Punjab and EEPC Northern Region.

GDPA Fasteners: A Legacy of Excellence

Founded in 1908, GDPA Group began its journey under Govardhan Dass PA, initially focusing on carpentry and castings. The company expanded into fastener manufacturing in 1954, establishing itself as a key supplier for critical applications, including Indian Railways and Nuclear/Thermal Power Corporations.

In 1985, GDPA Fasteners was established as a separate entity, gradually expanding its footprint in the global market. To meet rising international demand, the company set up its second manufacturing facility in 2000 on a 7-acre site, enabling production of a comprehensive range of fasteners. In 2003, GDPA established its third manufacturing unit, specializing in cold-forged fasteners, marking its entry into the mining and tunneling sector. Over the years, GDPA has further diversified. In 2010: Entered the renewable energy sector, supplying fasteners for solar, wind and hydro turbines.In 2018: Expanded into the agricultural and automotive fasteners industry. With a rich legacy spanning over a century, GDPA Fasteners continues to set benchmarks in engineering exports, reinforcing India's position as a global leader in precision manufacturing.
