Doctors stunned as sonogram reveals baby inside another baby in pregnant woman’s stomach

Maharashtra (The Uttam Hindu): A startling and extremely rare medical discovery has emerged from the government hospital in Buldhana, Maharashtra as doctors recently encountered an unusual case during a sonography on a nine-month pregnant woman. What initially seemed like a routine scan quickly turned into a medical mystery when it revealed not just one but two babies inside the woman’s womb. One baby was found inside the other a condition known as fetus in feto . The incident occurred when a 32-year-old woman from Motala tehsil who was in her ninth month of pregnancy came to the government women's hospital. Dr. expert the gynecologist conducting the sonography was shocked when he initially saw the baby inside the woman’s womb. Upon further inspection however he discovered a second fetus inside the first baby. This unusual and rare phenomenon prompted expert to conduct three additional sonographies which confirmed the presence of a fully formed fetus within the other baby.
This rare medical occurrence left the medical staff at the hospital stunned. After consulting with senior medical professionals the decision was made to transfer the woman to a specialized hospital in Sambhajinagar to ensure safe delivery and proper management of both babies. The woman’s condition will be closely monitored with medical experts prepared to manage this highly rare situation. expert assured that the pregnant woman would not face any immediate harm during her pregnancy but emphasized that immediate medical attention would be required post-delivery. If the fetus inside the first baby is not treated promptly after birth its development could be compromised. Civil Surgeon expert who also reviewed the case explained that the condition is called fetus in feto and is extremely rare. It occurs when a malformed twin fetus becomes trapped inside the body of its sibling. There have been only around 200 known cases of this phenomenon worldwide with approximately 15 to 20 cases reported in India. Doctor stressed that the condition requires specialized care to prevent further complications for both the mother and the baby. This rare occurrence has drawn significant attention from the medical community and doctors are hopeful that with appropriate care and medical intervention both the mother and the unusual fetus will have a chance for a healthy outcome.
