New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : The national capital is all set to get 44 new metro stations under the Delhi Metro Phase 4 project, which is expected to be completed by next year. This ambitious project will not only enhance the city's connectivity but also provide a seamless travel experience to its residents.
Key Highlights of Delhi Metro Phase 4:
- Total Length: The project boasts an impressive total length of 112.42 km, with 61.679 km across three lines (priority corridors) already approved by the Central Government ¹.
- New Stations: 44 new stations will be added to the existing metro network, providing convenient access to various parts of the city.
- Lines and Corridors: The project includes six lines, with the priority corridors comprising the Aerocity – Tughlakabad (Golden Line), Janakpuri West – R.K. Ashram (Magenta Line), and Inderlok – Indraprastha (Green Line) extensions.
- Depots and Workshops: New depots and workshops will be constructed at Sarita Vihar, Mukundpur, and Ajronda to support the expanded network.
Route Details:
- Golden Line (Aerocity – Tughlakabad): This 23.622 km line will have 15 stations, including Delhi Aerocity, Mahipalpur, and Tughlakabad Railway Colony.
- Magenta Line (Janakpuri West – R.K. Ashram): This 28.92 km line will feature 22 stations, including Krishna Park Extn, Keshopur, and Sadar Bazar.
- Green Line (Inderlok – Indraprastha): This 12.58 km line will have 10 stations, including Inderlok, Dayabasti, and Indraprastha.
